With over a year still to go before the inaugural AMAZIA, some 90 television, music and digital content companies have indicated their intention to attend the first Asian business-to-business exhibition and conference event devoted to the creation and distribution of international entertainment content across all delivery platforms.

AMAZIA will take place in the Hong Kong Convention Centre, from 17-20 November, 2008. AMAZIA is organised by the Paris-based Reed MIDEM.

“The reaction to AMAZIA has been excellent and confirms that there is a real interest in the remarkable Asian television, music and gaming sectors, and in the idea of bringing together these different entertainment strands with the multitude of content distribution platforms at a single, international event, ”says Franz Caduc, Director of AMAZIA.

On October 8, China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) and the Shanghai Media Group (SMG), expressed their support for AMAZIA. Meanwhile, MIPCOM attendees have also voiced their enthusiasm for the new event by confirming their intention to attend AMAZIA.
